eMapSite Announces Online Data Rental of England and Wales aerial photography mosaic

eMapSite is delighted to announce the launch of a revolutionary service for the leasing or rental of aerial photography. This service extends our existing services that serve data as URLs into GIS, CAD, Office and other desktop applications.

eMapSite, the first and still the best true online one stop shop for GB geographic data, has reached agreement with getmapping to provide this unique service for three products:

• reduced resolution (2m) seamless mosaic of England and Wales and a limited number of predefined areas
• full resolution (25cm) seamless mosaic of a limited number of predefined areas
• eMapSite's own photomap product that combines 2m aerial photography with Ordnance Survey's 1:50 000 scale colour raster

Aerial photography provides background context to public and specialist map and asset databases as well as a medium for the capture of new data. Geocorrected to Ordnance Survey Land-line the photography will match your existing information including OS MasterMap.

All data hosted by eMapSite is fast and easy to use, manage and share from a single source. eMapSite retains responsibility for update, maintenance and licensing. Rented data is available immediately to all users across an organisation and loads very quickly into users' applications including ArcView, MapInfo, cadcorp SIS and Microsoft Word.

eMapSite is able to offer short and long-term rental or leasing that incorporates data licensing, hosting services where applicable and updates as available.
