If you use Google Earth tools to support your business, site finding, mapping potential risk or asset management,
emapsite now supports the uploading of KML or KMZ files and re-projection to British National Grid.
This enables you to underpin your project data with Ordnance Survey mapping, or to order other mapping data such as address or terrain data or
to create a site plan to submit for planning permission.
To upload a KML or KMZ file, please follow the steps below:
- Select your KML or KMZ file using the Choose file link below to locate the file on your computer
- Once your file is chosen and processed please select one of the options below to either:
- Get Map by extracting your mapping of choice from our mapshop for the areas defined within your KML or KMZ
- Create a Plan which will show your areas marked up on appropriate detailed mapping
Please note, the upload process can accept multiple polygons, points and/or linestrings.
Donuts can be uploaded but only the outer ring will be maintained.
Please do not use polygons that intersect themselves, as these are not supported by OCG standards and our processing systems.
