Further
development of kiosks and information points
eMapSite
has continued to develop its innovative interactive mapping
solution for kiosks and local information points. We have
added further functionality to the kiosk solution including
printing and "zoom to" functionality that enables users
to zoom directly to a selection of pre-defined areas.
The solution can be a stand-alone, self-contained unit,
or be part of an Internet-based solution, served from
central servers. In both, users can seamlessly browse
and search for information using an intuitive touch-screen
interface. The mapping solution can be provided with local
content from our partners e-Street and Schoolsnet, or
configured to use any third-party content.
For
further information or to request a demonstration, contact
Justin Saunders on 0118 973 6883.
Internet
Street map in 57 tiles from 10,569 files
eMapSite
has been undertaking a huge task of mosaicing the Ordnance
Survey 1:10,000 Internet Street Map of Great Britain.
We have currently compressed the country into 57 files,
each 100km x 100km, from the 10,569 original files provided
by the Ordnance Survey, making this new and exciting dataset
easier to manage and use. If you want to purchase just
a single seamless file of this new 1:10,000 scale product,
such as a specific county mosaic, then contact eMapSite
as we can provide custom areas to meet your exact requirements.
GE
Smallworld UK User Group Conference
eMapSite will be present at the GE Smallworld UK User
Group Conference, taking place during the 9th and 10th
July at the Robinson College Executive Centre, Wyboston,
Cambridge. We will be demonstrating how GE Smallworld
users can access and use data directly from our servers
in their application.
For
further information about this, contact Justin Saunders
at eMapSite. For more information on the conference,
contact Elizabeth Moad at GE Smallworld by telephone on
01223 449371 or email elizabeth.moad@smallworld.co.uk.
And
finally, business users take note!
We
are still offering up to 20% discount on data purchases
to business users who register with us. Click on the Business
Users button on the home page to complete the online form
today and we will be in touch to let you know how to claim
