UK Freeze Model Freezing temperatures can cause escape of water (EoW) and significant insured property loss. There is a continual need to improve and update the understanding of EoW risk within the UK market. Such exposure can be reduced by pricing risk at a local level but this is only possible with an understanding of local hazard.
The emapsite Freeze model covers England, Scotland, Wales and N.Ireland and the Isle of Man, using over 50 years of temperature data from the MET office.
