Emapsite is carbon neutral
We are delighted to share that since March 2022 Emapsite have been carbon neutral with the help of . We are doing our part in creating a better future for our customers, employees and the community by constantly reducing our carbon footprint and encouraging tree planting to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
We are committed to ensuring that our operations have a net-zero impact on the climate, which means that we offset every tonne of CO2 we generate through our own actions. We’re proud of our commitment to sustainability and being environmentally responsible. Annually, our office is carbon efficient, and we have good internal practices in place to reduce our footprint even further, but we wanted to go beyond this.
This commitment to protecting our natural environment is central to our sustainability goals and we are helping to fund 2 wind power projects.
We support clean energy projects
The first project we support is in Mexico, it's part of a larger wind project, with two other wind turbine sites also producing clean energy. These projects have contributed towards areas of sustainable development in the local area in collaboration with local groups. This project is verified by the Verified Carbon Standard and prevents the emission of 245,015 tonnes of CO2 every year. You can view more on the
The second project we support is the first ever wind power project in Honduras and prevents the emissions of 226,978 tonnes of CO2e. The project in Tegucigalpa consists of 51 2MW wind turbines, generating 345,970MWh of energy each year. In addition, 57,000 trees have been planted over 34 acres around the project site, including 10,000 Quercus purulhana which is a species of oak that is native to Central America, and is classified as vulnerable by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN). We plant trees whenever the opportunity arises, and we’re proud to share we plant trees on behalf of our clients too.
Our impact so far
As a company, we are committed to being carbon neutral and our vision is to carry on with our sustainable development goals. We're working towards this by offsetting emissions and so far we have offset 12 tonnes of CO2. That's the equivalent of 9 long haul flights, 36 metres square of sea ice saved and 29,772 miles driven in a car.
